Hugh
Hugh plays guitar and provides back up vocals for the band. Hugh has been lead guitarist in covers bands in south-east Queensland for many years and more recently in a trio before forming Kickstart in 2003 with vocalist and keyboard player, Chris.
Playing guitar since the 70s, Hugh has a vast number of songs in his repertoire and is a versatile guitarist who can play anything from blues, to soul, disco to rock.
Much of the authentic sound of the band comes from Hugh working on developing sounds and effects to cover a song as closely as possible to the enjoyment of the more fastidious punters in the crowd. This is evidenced by numbers such as Sultans of Swing, Brick in the Wall and Jump.
